This is the woman we all saw last time... Before the shooting happened. Smiling with short-medium length blond hair. But what does she look like now?
We all remember the tragic events that happend in Janurary. Lots of people were injured and some were killed. Including an 8 year old girl and an older man, a husband, trying to shield his wife from the bullets that we're being shot.
Ms. Gabrielle Giffords was shot at point blank range in the head. She was taken to a hospital, operated on, and was put into physical tharapy. She had part of her skull taken out to help with the swelling in her brain, and couldn't even speak properly (and still can't 100%) after she awoke.
Carusone offered a frank update of her boss's condition last week, acknowledging Giffords has improved but still has trouble communicating. She said it's unclear when--or if--her boss will return to Congress. Asked for a "blunt assessment" of Giffords condition, Carusone, replied, "She's living. She's alive. But if she were to plateau today, and this was as far as she gets, it would not be nearly the quality of life she had before."
